Elizabeth Garcia

Ms. Garcia is an enthusiastic musician and educator, and is looking forward to being a director in the DCYO this year! Originally from Texas, Ms. Garcia graduated from Angelo State University with her Bachelor of Music, specializing in Education and Trombone. She then went on to become the Assistant Band Director in Anson, Texas for three years. There, she directed the Middle School Band Program as well as the Elementary Beginning Band, with all of her Middle School ensembles earning top honors at UIL competitions. She also assisted the High School Band in achieving outstanding ratings in both UIL Marching and Concert contests, culminating in competitions at the State Level for three years in a row. Ms. Garcia is excited to now be building up her private lesson studio in the Denver area, specializing in the advancement of Elementary, Middle, and High School brass players.
