Elementary Band & Orchestra Programs

Ms. Garcia is an enthusiastic musician and educator and is extremely excited to be returning as a DCYO instructor! 

Originally from Texas, Ms. Garcia graduated from Angelo State University with her Bachelor of Music, specializing in education and trombone. She then went on to become the Assistant Band Director in Anson, Texas, for three years. There, she directed the Middle School Band Program as well as the Elementary Beginning Band, with all of her middle school ensembles earning top honors at UIL competitions. She also assisted the High School Band in achieving outstanding ratings in both UIL Marching and Concert contests, culminating in state-level competitions for three years in a row.

Since moving to Colorado, Ms. Garcia has loved teaching all around the Denver area, specializing in the advancement of elementary, middle, and high school brass players.
