Cancellation Policy

Playing an instrument is an extraordinary opportunity for a student. Learning an instrument can foster a student’s critical thinking skills, patience, self-awareness, persistence, and perseverance. These qualities are essential in a student’s academic, social, and private life. They can also be very difficult skills to foster. To help students and our teachers do this, our program strongly suggests that students who sign up for orchestra or band participate for the full year. Playing an instrument is incredibly rewarding and sometimes difficult. There will be times when a student feels discouraged by the learning process, but we have found that when students are encouraged to persist through those moments, they become stronger people.

Payments may be made monthly (select “pay in installments”) or made in full. However, refunds cannot be made after September 20th for any reason, and we request a minimum commitment of 4 months if paying monthly.

If there’s a need to cancel Band/Orchestra during the school year after the initial 4 months, a written cancellation must be on file with the office 10 days before the 1st of the month for the scheduled payment to be stopped by the 1st.
