Ms. Davidson-Stanfill established the Elementary Instrumental Music (EIM) program in 2009 within the Rock Canyon feeder area, driven by budget cuts at Douglas County School District (DCSD) and community requests to sustain a band and orchestra program.

 

By 2010, the program expanded to include the Castle View and Chaparral feeder areas, and in 2014, it was honored with the Macaroni Kids Music Lessons Award. The program continued to grow, encompassing the Ponderosa, ThunderRidge, and Mountain Vista areas in 2016, and again receiving the same award in 2023.

 

With 27 years of experience teaching primarily Band and Orchestra, Ms. Davidson continues to oversee the program, holding a Bachelor of Music Education from CU Boulder and a Master of Music from Arizona State University. She began her career with Douglas County after marrying a long-time educator within the district.
