Q: What happens if we have a Late Start?
A: In the event that a late start is announced by DCSD for any reason, but usually for inclement weather, all before-school band and orchestra classes will be canceled. Evening classes may proceed as scheduled, contingent on the operating status of DCSD. Please stay updated on announcements to ensure you are informed about any changes. Your instructor will work with the school and DYCO-EIM to try and schedule make-up times when possible.
Q: What happens if school is canceled?
A: In the event that a full-day closure is announced by DCSD, for any reason, but usually for inclement weather all band and orchestra classes before and after school will be canceled. Please stay updated on announcements from DCSD to ensure you are informed about any changes. Your instructor will work with the school and DCYO-EIM to try and schedule make-up times when possible.
Q: What happens if schools are closed before end-of-day dismissal?
A: If schools are closed before their normal dismissal time, all after-school band & orchestra classes are canceled.
